BLACK AND PURPLE, THE GARDENS AT HOMESTEAD, WHIMSICAL WEDDING MT HOPE OHIO

As a photographer, I absolutely adore meeting new clients and being involved in such a special moment of their life.  What is even more special though, is already knowing those clients and knowing what amazing people they are with hearts of gold, and then having the absolute honor of photographing such a special moment in their life!  This past weekend, I was overjoyed to spend the day with Megan and Ryan at The Gardens at Homestead in Mt. Hope, Ohio for their absolutely beautiful wedding.  Megan is a fellow nurse and maybe it's the organizers in us, but I just knew she would have every last detail planned out so well.  Megan and Ryan's day went on without a hitch and we even managed to avoid any rain!

We started the day at Berlin Resort in Berlin, Ohio where the girls spent the morning getting ready and just doing what girls do, having fun!  I loved the special touch of the silk robes Megan had for her and each of her girls.  From there it was off to the ceremony.  My fingers were crossed as I started to feel a few sprinkles after first pulling in, but the dark clouds passed right by and they enjoy a positively beautiful ceremony under a blue cloud sky.  After the newlyweds shared their first kiss and said their "I do's" it was time for some stunning bridal portraits.

The Homestead Gardens are a must see location, especially on a day as gorgeous as this one!  With flowers galore you feel as if you entering in a whimsical paradise, complete with a cascading waterfall.  It was so incredibly peaceful and a beautiful place for any wedding.  Megan's purple and black colors perfectly accented the gardens reception venue and everything looked absolutely perfect.  PS if you didn't already notice, her centerpieces are made of cupcakes.  Yes! Cupcakes!  I will completely admit, I totally missed it at first, even as I was photographing them.  I had to take a second look before realizing what they were.  What a fabulous idea!

After first dances, cake, a dollar dash, and lots of fabulous dancing enjoyed by family and friends, it was time to steal the bride and groom away one last time for sunset portraits.  I could not have hoped for these portraits to turn out better than they did.  What a perfect way to end a perfect evening.  Megan and Ryan, thank you both so much for including me in your day.  I wish you all the best in the beautiful journey ahead and congratulations!

It's perfect outside it's like God let me dial up the weather
Got the whole crew here, I ain't seen some of them in forever.
It's one of those never forget it, better stop and take it in kinda scenes.
Everything's just right yeah except for one thing.

You should be here, standing with your arm around me here.
Cutting up, cracking a cold beer, saying cheers, hey y'all it's sure been a good year.
It's one of those moments, that's got your name written all over it.
And you know that if I had just one wish it'd be that you didn't have to miss this
You should be here.

And we'll build this love from the ground up
Now til forever, it's all of me, all of you
Just take my hand
And I'll be the man that your dad hoped that I'd be
And we'll build this love from the ground up
For worse or for better
And I will be all you need
Because with you I'll stand through the good and the bad
We'll give all that we have
And we'll build this love from the ground up
